Improving the lives of Singaporeans is core to our mission
The Singapore Public Service employs about 158,000 public officers working in 16 Ministries and more than 50 Statutory Boards. Within the Public Service is the Civil Service, comprising about 89,000 officers working in the Ministries.
Our mission
We work with the elected Government and Singaporeans to forge a common vision of Singapore's future and transform the vision into reality. We safeguard the sovereignty, security and prosperity of Singapore. We uphold justice and equality, guided by the principles of incorruptibility, meritocracy and impartiality.
Our goals
We create the best conditions for Singapore to succeed, and for current and future generations of Singaporeans to attain high standards of living. We keep Singapore vibrant and inclusive, and provide a safe, secure and stable environment. We foster a resilient and united society, based on respect, care and concern for fellow citizens.

We display integrity by being accountable for our words and actions, having the moral courage to stand up for what is right, and being fair and impartial when carrying out our responsibilities.

We do what is right and reasonable with empathy and respect for the people we serve, while having the overall interest of Singapore and Singaporeans in mind.
